Brandon is a combat veteran of our beloved United States Marine Corps, discharging as a platoon sergeant after 8 year of active and reserve service. In 2002, he served as a Primary Marksmanship Instructor and earned his way on the battalion shooting team where he competed in the Western Division shooting matches on Camp Pendleton. In 2003, he completed a combat tour in Iraq, leading dozens of marines through a series of complex, urban combat missions.

Brandon also spent 23 years as a police officer serving in a variety of capacities to include being a detective, SWAT team member, gang suppression officer, and SWAT Sergeant. With the help of his SWAT team, Brandon created programs and instructed many SWAT and sniper courses, aerial platform shooting, and .50 caliber rifle training/deployment.

Brandon was injured in the line of duty during a shooting with a violent felon who was fleeing a crime scene with stolen firearms. He credits his survival to years of firearms and tactical training which he received from some of the best trainers in the nation. It was this monumental event that drove Brandon to create RCT in order to give back some of the lessons he learned and used to save his own life. He hopes that these courses may one day, save someone else in their moment of survival.

Brandon is a court recognized use of force and gang expert. He has investigated, analyzed, and testified in cases around the country which he continues to do.

Brandon has spent a lifetime outdoors, hunting many of the western states for elk and mule deer. He now resides in Texas with his wife and son, where he hopes to help the next generation of professionals and hobbyists refine their love of all things shooting.
